I think I've created a recipe earlier; it involves bread sheets, rice and cheese. Let me tweak the recipe, and I'll be sure to post it up. xD

Yoghurt Days
Note: this is a scheduled post.

Dinner: 1 bowl of yoghurt with 4 cream crackers and a banana, sprinkled with milk powder

Supper: 1 1/2 bowls of yoghurt with dragon fruit
Plain yoghurt is perfectly fine with me, but there are days when I want to spice its color (and taste) up with fruits or other ingredients.

Carbohydrate Exploration
Oh my, I didn't realize that my paw was in the picture!
See what I mean?
The amount of biscuits there, my friends, will only last for a day if I were to eat it for my 3 meals.

Chilla Cup, IPC Shopping Centre
Mr. Barista, here you go. The review that I promised to write and publish.

Two hours into the lovely exploration, we walked past the month-old café and were instantly drawn to their trademarked slogan: a brew with a bite! Oh, it has now finally opened, I thought, hello there. All these while, I had been keeping an eye out for the café on my irregular trips here after reading all about it from missyblurkit.
Mama Carrie was rather interested at sampling their coffee, though and since there was a promotion, she jumped at the opportunity and left me at the table as an observer while she mulled over the menu and placed the order with the cashier.
She eventually settled for a plate of two scones and a cup of cappuccino and latte.

The scones (5.90) were lovely; although the texture was different to what we were used to at Nippon Paint’s bungalow in Cameron Highlands and softer, there was less butter in it and there were no hints of cream, either. While Mama Carrie suspected that lots of baking soda had been added to soften the scones, I reckoned that it was the work of constant pulling and kneading of the dough.
The one with raisins, however, leaned a tad bit towards the sugary side. Just a tablespoon less of sugar, and it’d have been perfect – like the plain one.

The strong taste of the cappuccino (9.50) had such a kick to it that I could imagine myself sitting on cloud nine listening to my favorite songs. There wasn’t too much foam either; in fact, it served well in complimenting the overall texture of the coffee.
This was Mama Carrie’s favorite.

The bitter taste of the latte (9.50), however, blended well with the sweet biscuit that was served together. The coffee beans that they had used, I felt, was of better quality, and it showed in the taste. I know I was supposed to drink through the steamed-milk foam but what I did was stir the foam and the coffee together and sipped while it was piping hot.
For the oddest reason, the usual cappuccino lover in me preferred this one.
While we were taking photos for today’s food review on our cell phones, some lady from the opposite table kept staring at us with an annoyed face and I returned her expression with furrowed brows. Hello, I’m reviewing the place, all right and don’t let me catch you doing the same thing, too.

Until the hurt is gone
Recently, the windows had to be closed shut for the whole day no thanks to the increasing chemical-infused air and the intense fragrance of a particular softener that will permeate the neighborhood for half a day – from morning until late evening.
We both hate being greeted with Softlan when the main door and the windows are left opened or even ajar in the mornings.
And with that, the stale air that has remained in the house has left me with a migraine-like feeling for the last couple of days.

On the first day, it felt like someone was stabbing my right temple with needles. An hour of soothing and calming music would later do the trick but merely reduced the pain, and not killed it. On the second day, however, I woke up to such pain that my head was about to explode at any minute and luckily, I had to head out for some errands. Although the fresh, outdoor air managed to kill it, it was only temporary as the pain returned when I returned home.
I won’t deny it; headaches would attack me from time to time and it would usually last for the day, nothing more than that. The day when I will pop my first Panadol tablet – in a long time – won’t be too far away if there’s no stop to this, unless I'm able to spend half a day away from home daily.
There’s no way I’m going to bang on the neighbor’s door and demand that they use less softener in the washing machine. Who am I to do so? I’m not like the other neighbor who has unfriendliness around his bubble; he's able to speak it like it is, even if it meant frowns and annoyances.

My Good Friday
After attending a Good Friday night Mass a couple of years back, I had the first-hand experience of knowing that when things start to slide, it will slide rapidly and yank all emotions with it.
Fast forward to this year.
With the memory still afresh in my mind, I knew that I wanted to attend only the day Mass but who in the world would’ve guessed that someone in the form of the granduncle would come and mess things up?
We headed off to the place that was agreed upon but when we arrived, he was nowhere to be seen. A quick check with the assistant revealed the truth: no appointment was accepted today as the attending specialist had surgeries to attend to. A phone call to the granduncle revealed even further that he had already learned of it on Thursday afternoon.
What angered us was that we skipped the day Mass because of him and he wasn’t considerate enough to immediately notify us of the sudden change in plans, and instead allowed us to waste our time, gas and the exorbitant parking fee.
Mind you, 2 bucks for less than an hour is no child’s play.

A simple drawing of the Calvary. I'm terrible at art and Photoshop, you see.
If he had the consideration, we would’ve flown straight to Church and have the evening to us, but for no apparent reason, I had to drag my feet – since it was an important day of observation – for the night Mass in a state of exasperation. It was deepened when not only the whole Gospel was read in Malay but also the prayer of the faithful!
There was not a word to inform the English-speaking parishioners in advance that Malay would also be used!
There’s a particular Church which practices this on a weekly basis too. (Go figure, yeah?) It’s unfair for the parishioners to attend a Mass that constantly weaves in and out of English and Malay. One is one, not two is one. I’ve noticed that a lot of the familiar folks have since moved on to other Churches in unhappiness – and we have added another number to the statistics. What I meant is that I've packed my bags and moved out and on.
When the granduncle swung by the house later with the intention of seeing us, I fled the scene as I wasn’t finished being pissed off at him and the whole annoyance that we went through. Of all the days, he chose the week of Triduum to be in town!
