1/9/16

My academic timetable isn't perfect, but the timing surely could have been worse. Due to the lurking surprises, the original plan was burnt in the fireplace - and that left me in a tad bit of a quandary.

Which means I'll be doing something that I never expected I would.

"This is madness! I knew it was a mistake!"

I'm in South Australia for a year now and finally adjusting with the life here. It usually doesn't take me this long to be accustomed to a place. I'm not exactly ecstatic on another round of obstacles, but life is life.

And one year down is another year closer to graduation.

I'm throwing caution to the wind that I'd have picked up the pieces before being thrust forward once again. I've made a silent promise to myself; I need to have all the weapons to slice everything into pieces (just think of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, lol). While I'm unhappy that I had to swap the arts elective (because I didn't know about the prior permission necessary to enroll in a non-law elective and the time slots were snapped up in a heartbeat), there's nothing much I can do about it.

It's too soon to tell, but we'll see how it goes.

I can only be prepared with a foolproof plan for next year's enrollment.

  1. I know I've commented before on your banner photo but every time I visit I find it very attractive and spend a few moments looking at it. All the best in this upcoming year of study.

    1. It's alright, Yum List. In fact, I am glad that you love the banner photo. I'm confident that the photographer will be delighted and honored to hear that. =) Thanks, though... am hoping for nothing but the best. ^^

  2. I love your new blog layout, it's a lot more intuitive (and strangely makes for compelling reading too).

New year, new beginnings, the time in Australia was some of the best times of my live.

    Here's to a better year! <3

    1. Thanks, Huai Bin. I'm sure the person who coded the template will be absolutely elated to hear that. =) Wait, really?

Well, we can only hope that 2016 will be a better year. *winks*

    2. I took an elective in my final semester too. Drugs & Alcohol, from Social Sciences, totally different from my Computer Science syllabus, but we were encouraged to take other subjects from different faculties and it was a lot of fun. I'm glad I took it. Hope you will be at the end of the semester too.

    3. That sounds like an awesome elective! 😄 I'm not taking any electives this semester because of some time clashes, but I've changed my mind to do 'Intelligence and Security after Cold War' and 'Editing for Writers' as electives next sem. Still somewhat related to law. 😅

Well, that remains to be seen for me. ^^

  4. All the best to you in 2016. I wish I could visit South Australia some day, have friends there. Drop by the Thai place, Star of Siam. A friend works there.

Ah, that's cool! I'll be sure to drop by that restaurant one fine day... and if your friend happens to be on shift at the time of my visit, I'll let him know that you introduced the restaurant to me. =)

  6. I think what you need (I need it too) is a Vril staff. Sorry, been reading this novel [The Coming Race] lately... It allows you to kill a giant reptoid whale in one strike or heal a life threatening injury...

    1. Nah, it's fine, CL. =) I'll probably have to hunt high and low for the Vril staff, though...
