The Ocelots - The Winner Takes It All (Cover of the original by ABBA)

  1. That's an interesting cover of a very wistful song ... ABBA actually has a lot of sad songs with sober lyrics, but this is one of the most poignant ...

    1. I think I prefer the original version, Sean. Not sure why, but I grew up with that song. It still brings back bittersweet memories every time I listen to it. "One of Us" and "Knowing Me, Knowing You" are impactful, too.

  2. Nice, love the slower arrangement. Reminds me of Passenger, the singer.

    1. Ah, yes, now that you've mentioned it, STP, the cover does have the feel of "Let Her Go".

    1. It gave me goosebumps when I first listened to it, Yum List. For me, it contained the same amount of emotional punch as the original, but the introduction of the harmonica brought its own twist into the cover.
