If we're fated to split, why force ourselves to retain the memories?

  1. i'm really bad at chinese songs, so i've never heard this before (i don't actually recognize who sings it either), but it's nice. it's melodic and it sounds sincere and full of heart...

    1. I don't blame you, Sean. The song's "Ai Zai Shen Qiu" (English: Love in Autumn) by Alan Tam. The guy's known in the Hong Kong showbiz industry as Headmaster, and has a popular Cantonese song called "Pang You" (English: Friends). =)

I agree; you can't help but sway your head gently to the meaningful lyrics, too.

  2. Hmm...good question that. I know it's a rhetorical one but it reminded me of my past relationships too.

    1. The title was sort of inspired after listening to the song multiple times, Huai Bin. From our limited knowledge of Cantonese, Teochew Mama and I both presume that it's a breakup. It's another classic like his "Pang You". =D

    2. Nice! I didn't know it's from the same person that sang "Friends". I love that golden oldie! :D

    3. I still love "Friends" until now, and nobody (except for Papa Carrie and Teochew Mama) knows that I was able to sing the whole song in perfect Cantonese once upon a time ago. =D

    1. Yes, Hayley, and I think it was somewhere in the 80s to 90s as he looks a little older now. =)

    1. With that being said, suituapui, it's kind of saddening to see that some folks aren't able to move on from the hurt that they suffered in the recent relationship. =(

It happened to my friend a couple of months ago; it left her disturbed for a while when he hooked up with a new flame of his and although she's not available, she's alright now.

    1. You're most welcome, Shirley!

When I first listened to that song, it unexpectedly reminded me of, well, a certain someone. *winks*

    1. That's surprising to hear that, Amy! =)

Even though the Carries love his songs, they haven't bought any of his albums.
