Oh, great! I am constantly reminded of that scene whenever this song is being played - anywhere. Those who have watched "Dark Shadows" from beginning to end will know which scene I'm talking about. >=)
My mom is a huge fan of the Carpenters. I can remember most of their songs (and ABBA as well).
My favorite song is the one that goes "Everyday I listen to the music with the radio on, waiting for my favorite song" (slight paraphrase from memory).
Pity about Karen Carpenter and her anorexia problems leading to her death. That song is quite melancholic too.

Yes, it was such a pity that Karen Carpenter died from complications relating to her anorexia. She sings so well! I'm sure if she hadn't passed away, The Carpenters will still be making more meaningful music.
